Heliocentrism Is A J-O-O Conspiracy!!!111
Warren Chisum (R-Pampa) is a member of the Texas House of Representatives, representing House District 88. Actually, he is not just a member, he is the Chairman of the House Appropriations Commission. And the Appropriations Committee decides how the money gets spent.
Hold on to you hats, folks: he distributed a memo (available courtesy the good people at Capitol Annex) to fellow legislators spouting the notion that the Sun revolves around the Earth. The people behind this, The Fair Education Foundation, say heliocentrism and evolution are based in Kabbalah and are a part of a greater Jewish conspiracy.
Let that sink in. Copernicus, Galileo, Darwin, Newton, Einstein, et. al. were ALL in on a vast Jewish conspiracy to undermine Christianity. Oh! I see! It all makes sense now! Or maybe, and I could be out on a limb here, the F.E.F. are a bunch of nut-job right-wingers who are even lower on the Dipshit Totem pole than the Creationists and Holocaust Deniers. Okay, maybe not below the Holocaust deniers.

I've been battling this notion of just going with posting a lot of stuff randomly. I know this is being read by 5's of people, but I want to achieve a certain level of quality here. So I am still working out the bugs and coming up with a plan for how and what to post.

Let's Open This Up To The Gallery

I am going to try to keep this current (unlike a couple of people I know who have threatened to update their sites - let's face it, everyone just wants the pics). I'll be touching on sports, politics, current events, entertainment, pretty much everything.
While I will be getting to the Saddam execution later in the week, I want this first post to be sports-related. Congratulations Oklahoma, you did yourself proud. Maybe Bob Stoops isn't the genius Richard Justice proclaims him to be. Somewhere in Austin, Mack Brown is smiling (mainly because he knows it would have been the Horns getting dropped).
